Can you just shut up brain?

Sitting in your bed waiting to relax and unwind from your day can seem like a drag. Whether you're an over-thinker or thinking over and over, at times trying to get your brain to shut off can be difficult. These remedies can help ensure you wind down the best way you can.
Sleep is essential for our body. It's what keeps us going and helps our bodies recover from our day. We all have different sleep schedules and different things that may cause us to not get that balanced sleep we so desire. While we can't hit the power button on our brain there are ways we can slowly get it down to sleep.
Â
Turn off your TV!Â
Let go of all distractions that your brain could find appealing. Turn off that favorite show of yours and stop all the sounds and noise.Â
Â
Try Relaxing Sounds.
Turn on your favorite calming apps or try wave sounds on a subtle volume. The calming sounds of oceans, animals, and weather can help calm your brain into submission.
Â
Exercise!
Working out is a great way to tire your body out before bed. Try physical activity a couple hours prior to sleeping and allow your body to relax more.
Â
Take a Bath.
Try a little warm water therapy and take a hot shower or bath to get your body into a sleeping beauty phase.Â
Â
Less Caffeine, More Decaf Tea.
Cut the caffeine out hours prior to bed. Try relaxing non decaf teas such as chamomile, lavender, and low caffeinated green teas. Grab a cup and sip until your body vibes to sleep.
