Eucalyptus: The Herb for Everything
Share
Eucalyptus remains an active ingredient in many of the items we use. This includes oils, teas, vapor rubs, and our daily mouthwash. The strong, crisp aroma and taste of mint comes around every so often in our everyday products. This must be a good thing, right?
Well, it is.
I would like to thank Australia for bringing eucalyptus to the forefront (since it did originate there). Since I was a kid, the thought of eucalyptus was simply “Mom can I have a piece of gum?” Well, to my surprise, the overall plant is ‘the herb for everything’.
Eucalyptus can be used for immune care, skin care, dental hygiene, and more. Read these eucalyptus fun facts below:
- Reduces cough, cold, and congestion
- Relieves muscle and joint pain
- Fights dental bacteria
- Insect repellent (add eucalyptus oil and lemon oil to the body for the best mosquito repellent)
- Reduces oiliness, dryness in skin, and protects/traps moisture in skin and hair
Next time you go out, grab some fresh eucalyptus leaves and make use of it around your home. Or grab an all-natural eucalyptus oil to add this herb in your bath, diffuser, or day to day products.
I guess it really was mint to be after all!
